About Sheldon Kleeman Art Works

Peter, 2013

My point of view as an artist is to take a simple image and deconstruct it into something abstract so that it takes on a  whole new meaning. My name is Sheldon Kleeman. I’m new to the blogosphere but not to the art sphere.  I work in two and three-dimensional collage and assemblage. My inspiratimyon is often drawn from faces.

I will be posting my art as well as other objects of art interest and some random thoughts. I invite you to join this art adventure. Feel free to leave a comment–title suggestions welcome!

  1. Thanks Sheldon for your visit. I love art and look forward to seeing your Art Works! Nothing wrong with the title, it works! Welcome to the Land of Blog. Enjoy your travels! Come back to see the sunset gallery anytime. Always new ones there.

  2. There are many thoughtful and striking creations. I happen to read a comment regarding your page ‘the blue squares…aren’t inviting’ (something like that). I actually quite like that. It took me a moment to ‘clue in’ and then click on the squares but the visual of your page does initiate a curiosity…and a desire to investigate further. Cool. Great work.

  4. Hey,

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

You asked my technique. I don’t have any special way of working. I just trust my intuition. I let it take me to the ride. Sometimes we have a marvelous fishing trip but sometimes we come ashore with no catch.

Don’t think too much how other people do their things because the work teaches us what ever we do. At the end of the day we all do things best we can. A Finnish poetess Eeva-Liisa Manner (1921-1995) answered when she was asked how she writes so brilliantly: “I am looking for the questions because I am the answer.”

    Take care and joyful ride.

  6. Very interesting comment that you left on my blog. I don’t expect everything to be family friendly. I wasn’t home schooled either. I’m hoping I can spare my young boys a few things by home schooling them just for this season. Meanwhile, your comment made me want to poke around your website even more.
